hey! i put up some new things on my shop - there were rumors that i was going under, but nope.  still here! jk.  oh btw i have an etsy shop. here's a sample of what's in store :)

anywho - work has been keeping us busy surprisingly for jan/feb - people still want to get their hair done even though it's not the holidays! who knew, lol.  but as always i'm keeping my eyes open for inspiration - cuts, color, etc. - for myself and other victims people.  here's one for me - i'm planning on going lighter unless i change my mind by the time i make the appt :)

oh and how about that superbowl! hehe jk.  in all reality, i am football retarded (i know not pc! - but you know in the olden days they said "retarded" for late, so) - very slow at understanding what is going on. friends have tried explaining it to me.  maybe it's an immigrant thing or an a-d-d thing (self-diagnosed).  (all the immigrants and a-d-d people, shush!)

not too much else going on.  i have been sick-but-functional, which is the worst kind if you ask me.  if i get sick - i want it to knock me out for a day, get it over with and move on, ya know?

i also have a rather irregular schedule these days (i.e. i find out the night before my hours for tomorrow) which i'm not used to.  but i can't complain.  i happen to really like my job, so...(in the kristen wiig one-upper voice).

couple new items added to the shop.

tuesdays off days

off as in i don't work.  they're very "on" for me otherwise.  i get a day to be creative around the house, shop, work on my etsy shop with my friend olga, read read read!  it's just one day though - not that i get ALL that done in one little journee (zhoor-nay), but i sure do appreciate a tuesday these days :)

i wore this today - this skirt is a brand new favorite.  i had it for a good while, but never really wore it.  until today!  and now i'm selling it on my shop (will be posted soon!)








noodle just yawned and i got a whiff of her crazy breath.  she's been sleeping upwards of 5 hours, this one.  geez!

wes and i finally watched september issue and i was so overly inspired by grace coddington.  she's a genius, and yet so simple.  her style is timeless.  she's kind, but she puts her foot down.  she's adorable!! i particularly like the scenes the camera taped following her down the hall and her crazy big red hair bounces against her black outfit.  she's gorgeous and she's got such a beautiful character, not to mention she produces brilliant stylist work.

well that will be all.  i bestow on you a wonderful night.  i should be in bed a half an hour ago (to get at least 6.5 hours of sleep, yo).  i suck at forcing myself to sleep enough.

we took another walk in our hood.  not that i'm going to make a habit of posting only when we walk, but here it is.

in other news - i added several items to my shop - including the midi skirt and dress shown below (dress is tucked into skirt)


we sold our car.  i didn't think it would sell that fast.  as i was approaching our house, i saw a stranger driving off in my mini :(  i'm not normally attached to cars, but that was a fun one.  i know i know - we always sell stuff!  but you know what, times are tough and gas prices are climbing to past $4 (cooper "s" eats premium) and if something breaks, it costs thousands to fix, ETC.  it was fun while it lasted.  anyway - it's nice to have a fella who knows these things.  my whole point is i'm going to miss it.  i knew i would, though so there ya have it.  smiley face.


ALSO - wes and i have been catching up on american idol, and we've decided that ryan seacrest is hilarious. here's him making fun of paul mcdonald - one of the more 'eclectic' contestants

and oh! what?!  i found this shop on etsy - zelnatt - she's got THE most amazing legging collection (for example see below).  i wish my birthday was sooner than it is.



perhaps i can purchase these for my husband's bday next tuesday and if they don't fit him... i guess i can find space in my drawer!  lol.  i know he'll appreciate a little selfishness on his bday - who wouldn't!  oh i'm kidding.  it's getting later than late. we have a rather large prospect coming to visit our office tomorrow - and i want to leave plenty of time to prepare a profesh yet fashionable outfit.  i love finding loopholes in dress codes (sorry for the youth-group-camp-sounding attitude.  i just like to put some flair to a plain jane outfit - is all).  k.  done!

dinner at my parents' house tonight was, as usual, a delight.  we always start with ambitious plans to 'go out', but end up back at their house for dinner.  going out is more stressful than fun.  particularly for me - just watching my ma order and try to decide on what to get is enough to keep me tense.  i like being at the house where i can force my little bro to stay downstairs and socialize with the family.  poor kid.  talk about contrived.  he secretly likes the attention :)

he wouldn't stand still.  and my ma was using my iphone to take pics.

finally, i've officially made this amazing wolf blanket our bed cover.  we bought it in july when we went camping to dillon beach - the purchase was definitely a desperate attempt to stay ward for the night.  it's always so cold there even during summers - blanket vendors have a permanent spot. 

anyway - that is all.

i finally sold this - i just came across a cute denim jacket today and thought to myself, "nah, i have an even better one at home with fringe and everything - way better.  it's not like someone's going to buy it anytime soon".  haha.  who knew - good bye old friend.  so glad you're going to a good home!

well, for now.  good night.  i'm going to go OCD on our closet right now.  wes is at a bachelor party, and i want to organize our closet.  our whole house actually, but the closet is a start.
